Samantha Garcia

During my second year playing Varsity softball in spring of 2025, I was given the opportunity to step up and pitch when our starting pitcher left the program. With that opportunity I learned to overcome adversity and grew stronger as a teammate and person. We won league and I was awarded pitcher of the year for the Del Rey League. I learned to stay positive despite some of the obstacles and challenges, I truly appreciated the love and support of all my teammates and coaches who were there for me through thick and thin. I learned that I could apply this experience to future adversity and also help others who may have a similar situation. I hope I was able to inspire others and be a role model to them.
