A letter from Mel: Dec. 5th, 2016
When I began planning my trip I knew I wanted to stop in Europe so London, a city I adore, was an obvious option for me. Even though I had been here two times before this city still amazes me. There is so much history within the city and so many gorgeous parks and friendly people. I was fortunate enough to finally go to visit Stonehenge and Bath this time around and let me say it was well worth the wait. Stonehenge is 5,000 years worth of history and to still be able to see the time and dedication it took to build this temple was incredible. Bath was an amazing city. The first thing you heard when we got off the bus was the roaring cheers and groans from a rugby match. Their Christmas markets were packed and smelled of all kinds of delicious foods. To end the day I visited the Roman baths, which contain England’s largest hot springs. There is a lot of the original architecture still in place. The attention to detail in these stones was a sight to see. I finished my trip by walking through the parks just taking in every bit I could and visiting some of the monuments. It was a good first stop, now on to New Delhi, India.
