Director Ridley Scott returns to the beloved Alien franchise for the 3rd time as he brings Alien: Covenant to the big screen. A sequel to Scott’s 2012 Alien prequel Prometheus, the film is the 6th installment overall in the franchise started by Scott in 1979, making this his 3rd time directing a movie in the series. The synopsis for the movie reads:
“Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world—whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Played by Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”
Along with Fassbender as David, the film also stars Noomi Rapace, Katherine Waterson, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, and James Franco in supporting roles. This has all the makings of a must-see movie, especially for those who are fans of Sci-Fi Horror movies and with enough success, Ridley Scott has stated interested in making multiple sequels in the future.
In theaters May 19th.
